Mini UV LED is the first-of-its-kind UV light LED system for cassette and similar limited space applications. Like all A/C systems, cassette are prone to internal mold growth and microbial contamination, particularly on and near the blower wheel. The LED light strip in Mini UV LED is designed to sterilize surfaces while having no impact on plastic materials.

What Is UV Disinfection?
UV disinfection is the process of using UV lights to sterilize a surface. The strip of disinfecting lights is under the cabinet cover of an AC and connects via wires to the control box housing the unit's electrical wiring. Due to the range of frequencies UV lights emit, it can eliminate mold and bacteria. People use UV disinfection to prevent and minimize mold and bacteria growth. It can also get rid of other air toxins and odors for their mini splits systems.

Working Principle


This product utilizes ultraviolet light and photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) technology to achieve whole-house purification without chemical additives or ozone. Its working mechanism involves UV light irradiating a titanium dioxide filter, generating hydroxyl radicals and superoxide anions. These highly reactive electrons effectively break down volatile organic compounds, bacteria, allergens, and other pollutants, converting them into harmless water and carbon dioxide.
